Spiceworks uses mysql, doesn't it? I seem to remember installing it several years ago and figuring out it just needed some indexes that weren't there by default (and mysql didn't have anything like SQL Server's "suggested indices").
But I could be confusing it with some other product. I've looked at lots of products over the years... Regards, Michael B.
