I just setup a syslog server. When configuring syslog on my Procurve switches, I specify the IP address of the syslog server with the "logging x.x.x.x" command. Do people normally issue a "logging facility xxxxx " command too? If so, what do use use for the level? User, syslog, local0? Or should I skip that? Curious what others are doing.
I'm under the assumption if no "logging facility xxxxxx" command is given, it defaults to user which is what I'm thinking about doing.
