Same here on every server we manage it was part of our monthly maint after M.S. first released the info. Since then all of our patches and reboots don't hang during reboot anymore. Its was kind of pray and hope the server went down on patch nights. Since then I have not had one server lock during a reboot. The way its supposed to be.

What I've seen is ephemeral port exhaustion, general networking errors, ICMP failures (i.e., pings no longer work), etc. I've not heard of any "corrupted attachments".
