I've been a lot more aggressive about deleting emails now than a year ago, but that's because gmail has been warning me about my limits - I'm at something over 93% full. However, this list is the one I keep the most of, by far. In my gmail mailbox I have stuff going back to at least 2004. Somewhere I have some PST files that go back further than that, but I couldn't lay my metaphorical fingers on them without a major search of the house. I have used two email providers prior to my gmail account - spro.net and lightmail.com or .net, I can't remember which any more, but if I googled myself I'd find them, I guess.
