My guess is the target has a config setting that is not suitable fir use with the MS ini. Just a swag, but what knobs does that san offer for settings like R2T, NOP, burst etc? Surely they have a recommended feature setup for windows? ________________________________________ From: Kurt Buff [[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2012 7:06 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Errors setting up iSCSI on a Win2k3 R2 server
All, I've got a Dell PE2950 running Win2k3 R2 SP2 with Intel Pro/1000 MT NICs, fully patched, and I just installed the iSCSI initiator, and am trying to set up a LUN on a Lefthand SAN. It sees the LUN, and I was able to use diskpart to align the partition (create partition primary align=1024), but when I used the GUI to format the partition and assign a drive letter I keep getting event IDs 34, 39, 20, 49 and 7 from iScsiPrt in the System event log - about once a minute for the complete set. I have never run into anything like this, and have looked at http://eventid.net and have googled, but am not finding much on this. Anyone seen anything like this and have an idea where to start looking?
