Greetings from cold and rainy Spokane, WA, I agree with MBS. Load exmon and perfmon and start tracking it down. I know of no known issues with PS4.0 and Outlook 2010. But PS4.0 is so far out of support that Citrix provides no info. The one CTX article that exists on known issues with Office 2010 only lists Word and other memory issues. No performance or latency issues.
I would not use Cached Mode on a TS/RDS/MF/PS/XA server under almost all circumstances. Perhaps Webster will chime in with something specific regarding PS4, but Iām not aware of it. This sounds like a typically perf problem. From: Mark Robinson [mailto:[email protected]]<mailto:[mailto:[email protected]]> Subject: Outlook 2010 and Citrix Presentation Server 4 Hi all, I wonder if someone can help please. We upgraded our Citrix servers to Outlook 2010 a few months ago without issue. However lately we have been experiencing hanging and latency with Outlook and Outlook only ā all of the other office apps and other apps work fine. The servers are a decent spec and under-utilised, and we only have around 20 users maximum logged on to Citrix at any one time, and Outlook via RDP works fine. I created a test farm and have been increasing the number of users I invite to test and we are again experiencing latency once again ā new server, new farm but still PS4 and Outlook 2010. I have trawled the forums for advice and although there is talk of an issue with Outlook 2010 and Xenapp and a hotfix for Outlook 2007, there does not appear to be anything concerning PS4. Upgrading to XenApp would be my next step but budget for this year will not allow it.
