  I used NovaNET/TapeWare/Yosemite/Barracuda/whatever for backup
several years ago.  It was a decent product at the time, and much
cheaper than Backup Exec.  The trick that caught many people unaware
was that it keeps everything in a master database, so when restoring a
file, you first find the file you want to restore in it's presentation
of the filesystem, and then optionally drill down to instances
(versions) of that file.  Now, this was so long ago that the software
could have been completely rewritten by now, so I'm not sure how much
of this applies today.
