Checkers battered fries rock, at least till they get cold. Better than McDs,BK or Krystal, close to Wendys, quite inexpensive.

About 20 miles west of Louisville, KY. There is another burger joint called Rally's/Checker's, but its not the same. [cid:[email protected]] I mean, it's not bad. But it doesn't fill that void. It doesn't have that taste. I grew up in Dallas. There are just some things you miss when you more to a different region of the country. To me, Whataburger is one of them. Another thing I am going to miss is the old Texas Stadium. Going to be funny when I drive down 114, or 183, and not see it there. I also miss the First Saturday Sale. I know it moved under Woodall Rogers overpass there at the West End. But they haven't updated their wedsite for a few months. Just wondering if they still have that. Boy, the stories of what went on when they were on the East End of downtown Dallas, before they built Woodall Rogers. I remember back in 1997, some idiot was selling copies of Autocad, that is when the cd's were in that Sony Cartridge(?). Well, he was selling a set of four cd's and a book on Autocad, which you could by at any bookstore, for about $80. He did this for about four months. But, then, the US Marshall was notified and they came down the next month and arrested him. Then the State of Texas came down and was checking to make sure that the appropriate sales tax was being collected by the vendors who setup shop. But, all in all, those were fun times. :) If you are ever in the mood for really good mexican food, go to Ojeda's on Maple Ave. It is the best!
