They're all tools to get information, just like anything else. There's a
stack of tools in the world for that purpose, it's just a matter or
selecting the one that fits you the best. However, as time progresses,
tools like Twitter (Facebook, uggh) are displacing some of the older tools.
Twitter can be a mess unless you have the right client/app to make sense of
it. Once you do that, you really don't need any other tool. I get more
from Twitter than any other mechanism, now.

Of course.I'm a tech info junkie. For those that really don't care about
that stuff, it's probably not worth the effort.

So.guys on the local radio station are talking about the Olympics and that
"it's nearly impossible to watch the delayed coverage of the Olympics
without knowing the results first, thanks to Twitter and other social
media..". Hmm..not for me.

I follow exactly nobody on Twitter, and am on Facebook not even every day
and don't even have a smartphone ($30/mo addtl' for the data plan). Does
this put me behind the curve these days? I'm guessing the smartphone is
where I am behind the curve the most?

Damn, I didn't want to turn into one of those old, out of touch guys.
