List Family:

I apologize to the list and Stu for using the list for this purpose, but I am
desperate. My, son Zachary is to be a freshman at the University of
Massachusetts at Dartmouth majoring in Criminal Justice in September. His and
my problem is coming up with balance of tuition/fees bill. Minus his financial
aid, the balance is around $8000 for the year. I have been struggling with
this since July trying to get him a loan. I am not a worthy co-signer/creditor
because my credit is over extended because I have two girls already in college
that I am co-signers for. I have tried what few immediate family members I
have, but they are either dirt poor or have recently gotten laid off from their
jobs. I am thinking that if everyone on the list could "donate" even a dollar,
I could up with enough to pay his college bill. I know a lot of us have the
same problem and I feel funny even asking, but again I am desperate and am
turning to what I consider my extended family for help. Please reply off-line
if you want to help or even if you want to chastise me for even doing this.
Again, I apologize to the list for even posting this.
