If a file copy is causing the entire "server" machine to reboot, then you have something wrong in kernel mode (user mode isn't going to BSOD the machine).
I'd check a) drivers (e.g. for network card, storage controller, motherboard, chipset - i.e. everything involved in the file copy) b) whether you have some faulty hardware c) any software involved in the file copy process (e.g. Antivirus/Antimalware), as these run in kernel mode Cheers Ken From: Roger Daley [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, 16 October 2012 5:11 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: xp and win7 Sorry for the lack of details. The mouse is black and the screen is blue! The win7 machine crashes and the files are simple word docs. 25k-100k sizes. I am will look at the event log to pinpoint an error or failure of somekind.
