I just used the USB install on my 64-bit Vista machine (Dell E521). It
installed fine, but it's now being finicky as all hell. Sometimes' it'll boot
fine, other times it'll stick at a weird pixelated screen. Said machine was
slow with Vista, so now I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem or what. Still
troubleshooting, but at least the pre-boot F8 still works....

I suspect video driver (just the way the screen pixelates), I have a GeForce
GT220 instead of the OEM on-board Dell, plus an add-in 1GBe card and SB
Audigy, but the preflight Win8 check didn't indicate any of those were an
issue. Time to pull out all the extra's and see what's up...

Keep the Win 8 info coming! I've been tasked with kicking it around in our
environment.

Laptop, Surface and a phone.

Unless all of your apps are from the Windows 8 store (with the modern UI), you
practically run in desktop mode anyway.

Are you guys changing your Windows 8 UI to be more like Win7 or leaving it
as-is and learning new tricks?
