I had thought the same thing! (was Opalis?)

Some googling seems to suggest that it's not meant for Task Scheduling any 
more. It can be made to do it, but its strong suit is repeatable Jobs rather 
than scheduled tasks now.

It's been a lot of years since I touched it (more than 10!) and it's since been 
acquired by MSFT and rolled into the SC suite, but Orchestrator comes to mind...

Might be worth a look.
