Yes, you've got the idea, my portable apps (including Firefox) are installed into my Google Drive folder. The idea is, get a new machine, install Google Drive, create a shortcut and I have all my apps.
I try not to use them simultaneously on different machines and I have to pause the Google sync when I run FF portable, but it mostly worked OK until I lost the bookmarks that were sync-ed thru Firefox. I can only assume there was some sort of conflict. The issue with the reappearing Trash in the online version also spooks me, as its often the web version that causes the conflicts.
