I would look to see what your max page file size is set to.  Do you know
where to do that?

Also, make your min = max, and set both to 3x the amount of RAM you
have.  When you page file has to grow and shrink, it will slow you down
and increase defragmentation.

The paging file on my desktop machine starts out in the 500MB range and
grows to over 2.5GB throughout the day.  The only way I can shrink it is
by logging off.
