Never bothered really...Folder Redirection for user folders onto the network seems to remove the need.
However laptop endpoints where the user has to save data locally used to be a pest....Offline Files was always a pain to get working so I can see why some people actually backed these up. But seeing as we now have loads of apps (many which have been discussed recently on this list) that can do cloud- or enterprise-based syncing from a local folder, I don't see much need at all for backing up endpoints. Maybe in extreme situations where there was some kind of locally-based data engine (I've seen these sorts of things used by people who need to run apps to generate quotes for people whilst visiting their homes and such), but I'd be trying to get around that sort of thing by provide some kind of synchronized application access.
