Does anyone know if LoJack CompuTrace can be activated without the software installed? I am looking into this sort of software for a client but am not sure whether it needs to actually have the software installed or if the embedded BIOS feature does everything required? Their website isn't particularly clear about it and most Googling just turns up people complaining about civil liberties.
