You haven't called Microsoft lately, 2 hours on phone and now they want
me to call Tech Support for $250.

For OEM licenses, I don't think you can. But reactivating it shouldn't

Does anyone know any tricks to get past the activation window when you
transfer windows server 2003 to Vmware?

I know that the hardware change causes this but what can you do prior to
stop this?
