One for the collective here. Is it fair to say that a server with a high avg disk write queue (typically around 4 or 5, peaking at 15) is going to show signs of 'running slowly' ? In this case it's a TS box and the users on that server are complaining its just slow, slow to respond, to reply, to flick between folders etc. We have another identical box which is fine, but that runs scsi where as this box runs sata. I need some evidence to get them to push through some spending on the disks, and I'm hoping that the avg disk write queue figures are just what I need.
