  What are you hooking it up to?

  If you're just looking to make a printer accessible over the
network, you want something called a "print server".  The JetDirect
boxes from HP are over-priced but work very well.

  If you're looking to connect non-printer equipment which just
happens to use a parallel port, you want something called a "parallel
port extender".  I've never seen one that used Ethernet (which is not
to say one doesn't exist).  Many do use 8-conductor "RJ-45" connectors
for the connections, though, so if you just run a long "network cable"
directly between the two, that should work.
