I have a question about DHCP setup. So when I started working here,
there was an appliance entitled Axentra, which served as the gateway for
Internet / POP3 and DHCP.

Now we have moved into a CISCO environment and I just received my last
Cisco appliance, ASA5505, to act as our Firewall / DMZ. So onto my
question, last night I setup up our DC to act as the DHCP and waited
before I authorized the server after disabling the service on the
Axentra Server.

I came in this morning and found that my workstation would not speak to
the DHCP (win2k3 server). I went to a few other stations and did a
release and renewal and still nothing. So I had to deactivate /
unathorize the server and reactivate the Axentra server.

I know it's not that difficult to setup a DHCP server, but am I missing
something?

TIA
