OK... answered my own question after some more extensive googling. Apparently, Syngress screwed up and put the wrong exam number on their newest book.. The content is apparently exactly the same between the tests, CompTIA just decided to use a different number for the E2C version, as the price is lower for those who qualify to be an E2C member.
Off to schedule an exam! ________________________________ From: Christopher Boggs [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 12:30 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: security+ question OK - a while back I bought a book for the Security+ cert, not realizing the book says its for exam JK0-010, which is apparently the CompTIA E2C version of the exam (for educators and teachers, etc) http://www.bookpool.com/sm/1597491535 Does anyone know if the objectives are any different? CompTIA doesn't really mention anything else about JK0-010 being different, just that it requires a voucher (which you can only get if you're an E2C member) and I'm worried that this book might not have everything for the SY0-101... I mean, I've read other Security+ books and this one seems right in line, but I don't want to throw away $250 bucks because I bought the wrong book. Ugh. I've been meaning to take the Security+ for years, but money has been tight, so I want to make sure I can pass it so I get reimbursed by my company. ~ Upgrade to Next Generation Antispam/Antivirus with Ninja! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbelt-software.com/SunbeltMessagingNinja.cfm> ~
