I have a new HP Proliant DL 580 G5. It came with one P800 Smart Array. I have two SAS San's hanging off it. I want to get another P800 Smart Array card and move one of the San's off of it and onto the new one so each San has their own. If I already have Windows up and running will I have to do anything with Windows or just move the physical connection from one card to another??? I have never done this before so I believe this will require backing up the data on the target SAN. Dropping the array using the array configuration tool. Moving the physical SAN. Creating a new array. Adding that array as a logical drive back in Windows and restoring the data from tape???
