When sending email to the list, please don't just pick an existing
thread and reply to it.  Doing so confuses everybody and breaks mail
threading.  Instead, compose a new message from scratch.  Thanks.

  Why don't you want to use SYSPREP.EXE?  It's free and is the only
method Microsoft supports.

  There is NEWSID.EXE (also free), but it's not supported, does less
than SYSPREP.EXE does, and is likely to cause problems.
