Hi Folks: I am looking for suggestions on migration utilities/methods. My shop currently uses Netware for file and print and eDirectory as the Directory. I have a Windows Active Directory already in place, and plan to migrate users to that ADS. The existing Netware servers will be converted to Windows servers and users will access files on Windows servers. All of my servers are well documented and "clean" as over the last few years we moved locations and I was able to audit the file systems at the time. So that is not an issue in terms of knowing who needs rights to what. What I am looking for are utilities to assist in the migration. Things that will take my Netware groups and convert them to ADS groups, copy files from the Netware servers to Windows servers and generate the equivalent in shares. It would be nice to have utilities to generate user profiles on the PCs, or move profiles to the domain profile on the PC once those PCs are moved into the domain. As for login scripts, I'm open to suggestions. Kix, VB, Windows native? My current scripts map a number of drives and there are some if/then statements for groups, but that's it. Suggestions/comments welcome. I am the only engineer here, so I'm looking for things that will save time and effort during the process. I have a number of small sites with 10 or so users and they will be the first to be migrated. I've done this before but that was a number of years ago and am looking for fresh ideas. Thanks, Tom
