When I force a discovery it tells me the Citrix MFCom service can’t be
contacted, I have checked the permissions and group memberships for this and
they are all correct. I also added the required users to the Log On As A Batch
Job right, still no joy.

I will give the MMC reinstall a try - cheers

Have you forced a discovery?

Also, the MMC interface can do this. Uninstalling/reinstalling just that can
fix it. It's a bug I'm told.

Subject: Missing Citrix server

Has anyone got any good pointers as to why one Citrix server in my farm won’t
show up in the Presentation Server Console? Or a way to force it in there?
Using MPS 4.5…

How many Zones do you have?

Have you run dsmaint refreshlhc on the missing server?

Have you rebooted the missing server? (or at least restarted the IMA service?)

What are you using for your Datastore (Access, SQL, Oracle)?

This article will get you started in using qfarm to troubleshoot your farm:

Since Citrix automatically load balances all Presentation Servers that article
should give you some pointers.
