The script I'm working on begins by stopping services associated with a
specific application as part of a forced un-installation routine. If the
services don't stop normally, because they are hung, the logic in the script
needs to force them to shutdown. So I need to test how the script responds
to the hung state to make sure I've got the logic correct.

A brute force service stop command similar to pskill is the ideal result
that I'm looking for.

Thanks for the feedback - the msi provided by Klint is perfect.

Oops. I see someone has already done this for you.

I'm still interested in knowing what it is that you are testing?

I could generate a service that does this pretty easily.

What is it that you are actually trying to test?

I'm trying to test how a VBScript I've written will respond to a service
that is in a hung or "stopping" state. Anyone have any good methods for
simulating this behavior? Maybe a script that will force a service to hang?
