I'd still blow away the OEM install and start from a pristine, vanilla install of Windows from a Microsoft CD. Uninstalling software from Windows is like unscrewing a virgin. While it may, in theory, be possible, I've never seen it done that didn't leave some trace of *something* behind. (Oh boy, Shook's gonna love this post.) If you're using Win XP and have any VLM (Volume License Media), Microsoft allows you to use the VLM to reimage PCs that have OEM licenses, even if you don't have a VL seat for that PC in particular. Which is nice, because you can standardize on a single source CD for everything, and don't have to worry about the OEM product keys. Alas, Vista has taken that away. One more way Vista makes my job harder. One more reason we're still on XP. -- Ben ~ Upgrade to Next Generation Antispam/Antivirus with Ninja! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbelt-software.com/SunbeltMessagingNinja.cfm> ~
