If you approve both, it will download both

There is a "Server Cleanup" option under the Options node that lets you
cleanup superceded updates (this is how you remove superceded updates
from your WSUS cache)

But the best thing to do, if you plan to deploy SP2, is to sort your
updates by Supercedence (it's an optional column you can add) and
decline all the updates that have been superceded.

Cheers

Ken

Subject: WSUS question

Hello J

Would someone clarify this for me please? On a new installation of WSUS,
both xp service pack 1 and 2 show up. Same for 2003.

Sure for SP1 it says this updates has been superseded by some other
updates, before decline make sure not needed blah blah....

The question is if I approve them both, is it going to download only SP2
or download both to local hard drive?

Sorry if sounds bad
