WOW actually that is a good idea for the initial synchronization which
is about 30 GB. Then I can change it back to local route

Thanks

Nslookup sitename should return all IP's for that site. Otherwise you
could try and DIG their dns but who knows how many sites are with them.
Also, a lot of their downloads are offloaded to a 3rd party (I forget
their name atm) so you would probably have to add those as well.

Why not simply take your wsus 3.0 server and point it to the backup
gateway for all internet so it just goes out that way by default? Maybe
im simplifying it too much.

Subject: Microsoft update Ip list

Hi everyone

We need to make sure WSUS goes to a special line while getting updates
from Microsoft so it doesn't slow down the daily internet access.

*.microsoft.com

*.windows.com

*.windowsupdate.com

Have to be added to list. Now the problem is the damn router only can
route only by destination IP and not domain. Is there any way to get a
list of all IP's on these domains?

Thanks
