I just read a post of a guy who was trying to figure out the same thing,
and had the smart idea to run regmon and see what reg keys were changing
when you changed fonts/stationary etc, but he didn't know how to lock
them down.

So I went with it, ran Regmon while changing the Reply font in Outlook -
and it looks like when I changed the reply font, a key was generated
inside
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\MailSettings\
called ReplyFontSimple and had a long hex value.

In theory, I suppose if you set it how you want it, then export those
keys to all your boxen, and lock down write access to those specific
keys, it just might work.

Who knows what kind of nasty error it might throw when they try to
change it, though.. and no telling what else might get screwed up...

I saw somewhere that there are not Control IDs for Dialog Boxes...
bummer. Many, many results come up on how to disable the same thing
that I am looking to disable, and they all lead to the same answer: it
can't be done. How did this slip through?!?!

Found this, references group policy settings and using VBA for finding
control IDs, although it may not be exactly what you need:

and here's the ADM files for Office 2003:

Looks like I need to find the control ID of the things I want to
disable. I need to use Visual Basic for Applications?

Does anyone else know how to find Control IDs for Outlook 2003? Thanks!

My users keep trying to change the fonts for outgoing messages. I want
to lock this down.

I can't find anything in the GPO Admin Template.

Has anyone done this?

thanks

Sam
