  Given that:

  I'd mirror the two 73 GB drives.  I'd install the OS to a 20 or 30
GB partition on the mirror set.  I'd defrag the filesystem, fix the
size of the swap file, but leave it on that partition.  I'd create a
separate partition on that mirror set for Exchange transaction logs.

  I'd put the 146 GB drives in RAID 5 (292 GB effective).  I'd split
it into different partitions for the Exchange database and regular
files, sized based on anticipated need.

  By putting Exchange database and transaction logs on different
spindle sets, if one filesystem gets corrupted, you still loose almost
no data, which is nice.
