Actually the folder isn't hidden, it's just that windows explorer doesn't show 
it. If you go to a dosprompt and do a dir /a:d you should see it.
Also other filemanagers will show it.

Hrm.  You can feel free to delete the entry.  It will be automatically
recreated.  If the entry exists, the folder should as well.  Check to
see if it is hidden,
