I went from a 7200 to a 8100 cpu on my 6710b and there is some difference,
however not a huge one.  I couldn't believe that I can get these high end
notebooks for just over $1000, so I'm purchasing the HP6710b units as our
standard now.  Once you reimage the machine and get all the HP preinstalled
stuff off, they really go.  I was editing and rendering video on the weekend
with relatively no hit on the processor. Compared to processors 2-3 years
ago, there is none.
