Hi chaps, I have an ancient Win2k server here which has been treated to the pc version of a good lunch and a bottle of wine by having some new disks slapped in. The raid card picked them up, they show up in Disk Management, I've formatted them and now want to move data to them. However, despite having a drive letter in Disk Management I can't explore them or open them and they don't show up in My Computer or any other dialogue.
Someone here said happily "oh yeah, it does that with new disks, just reboot it" which is fine. However, in this case we can't reboot it for some time and I'm keen to move data off the old disks before that time slot comes up. Has anyone seen this before, and should I look to restart the logical disk service to try to kick the OS in to play ?
