We use (and sell) an Aruba Wireless solution at my company. It has a captive portal that is very easy for our visitors to use.
I can't speak for other vendors since this is the first time I have ever had a captive portal, but it is cool and it's easy to use. I haven't had a single issue with it in the time we have had it.
