  Yah, I know exactly what you mean.  So many programmers don't seem
to get human interaction.  Something similar that annoys me more is:
Web sites which force you to enter the credit card number without
spaces.  *It's a farking computer*!  The one thing computers excel at
is processing data.  Just strip the spaces in your validation routine,
and make it easier for us to check our data entry!  Grrrr...

  Tip on the state/country list thing, though: In most browsers, you
can jump to the first entry under a given letter by typing the letter.
 So type [N] to get closer.  And in Firefox, you can actually keep
typing to quick-find an entry -- so you actually *can* type [N] [C] to
select "NC".  (MSIE only does the first letter.  One of many reasons I
like Firefox better.)
