I have a bit of a problem with an ISA 2004 server that I'm trying to look at remotely. It's in a branch office in South Africa. Our networks are not connected in any way, I'm using VPN to connect. VPN connection is successful, and I can log onto the ISA server with no problems, however, when I try to start ISA Server mgmt console, it acts like it's running setup and gets several error messages about cannot modify or create registry for TCPIP parameters, setup failed while registering wspadmin.dll, then finally a "Problem with Shortcut" box with Fatal error during installation, message. I'm not using a shortcut to start the mgmt console, I'm starting it from the Start menu.
Any ideas for me? I can have them make changes on their end if I can be very specific, they have no IT person, and are not exactly technical, but if I give them specific instructions we can get it done.
