The only thing FF 3.0 (barebones install, i.e., without add-ons/extensions) adds is speed right now. FF's speed even blows the new Opera out of the water. It's amazing.
The add-ons give FF its functionality, which seems to be the big draw. There are a lot of neat add-ons. However, I'm finding a lot of what I do, I'm having to use the IE rendering engine, which brings FF's speed back to IE7 speeds -- so it's not really providing much value to me.
