Ha - this happened to one of our servers a couple of weeks ago. No idea how it occurred, but here's the fix:
The logon screen turns black after you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to log on to a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906510> Malcolm From: Steve Kelsay [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 20 June, 2008 09:49 To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: OT - Maybe - Server 2003 Login screen field colors turned black on black What controls the colors for the login screen? The fields turned Black on black two days ago, but after login, all is well. Maybe an issue is that the login is using NWGINA instead of MSGINA due to having the Novell Client installed, but there is no setting that changes the colors in the Novell client attributes that I can locate. I am not certain if the client has anything to do with this. It is on a VMWARE box, so the BIOS is not available to check.
