I've noticed this a few times over the years, but never looked into it... Ever notice how Microsoft takes over the Internet Explorer home page sometimes for awhile?
You'll see it once in awhile where it takes you to a page for the latest Internet Explorer version. Automatically check for Internet Explorer updates is an option in the advanced area that I assume is responsible for this. I've noticed lately Internet Explorer not going to it's homepage, but rather, pulling up a Live Hotmail page, something that looks like a Microsoft promotion. This doesn't happen every time, but seems rather often. It seems like I've seen this on systems that did not have "Automatically Check..." checked. Anybody aware how to disable this or have comments on this mechanism?
