Nope I am actually up to date with SPs and hotfixes.
I have a script to force update install and we monitor "computers with errors"
in WSUS
(SP3 was a pain for the few OEM installs but the fix was a week later)

SP2 fixes politics?

Also, are there people out there with SP2 still not deployed? It came out in
like, 2003 or something

After some research, I found XP SP2 fixes this.

Is that the case?

Get management to agree to a default screensaver.

Explain that you will have to deal with complaints. Propose that you offer "x"
alternatives (where 1 < x < 3). People can manually request to have an
alternative

Create three security groups to enforce the possible options. Put everyone into
the default group to start with. If people want one of the alternatives, then
just move them to the appropriate group

Use security group filtering to enforce one of the three options.

Cheers

Ken

I have been asked to implement a screensaver at 15min with a password lock.

And I know if a force just 1 screensaver, that the Halloween and Christmas
screensaver people would complain.

Also there are those who set the screensaver to <none>. How can remove the
none option or work around it?
