I have a server I'm attempting to install the DHCP server on and the install fails saying a file or registry setting is missing.
The server is running Win2k3 with SP2. It's a DC currently running DNS, WINS and CA. The weird thing is, according to the event log, the DHCP Server service gets installed and started. It throws two errors - one about not being authorized, and the other saying it's a bad idea to run DHCP & DNS on a DC without authentication credentials. Then the service stops, after which the component install apparently cleans house because it removes the service and registry entries. Anyone seen this one before?
