I'd clear the event logs, then run gpupdate /force, then gpresult to
check to be sure you're getting the policy. If it looks okay, then log
off and log back in as the user. If the software doesn't install, check
the event logs for any errors. If gpresult shows that the policy is
being applied but the software isn't installing, the event logs will
almost surely give some info as to why.

Subject: GPO application not installing

Greetings!

I've done a few software installations via GPO, but they are all set to
push install after a re-boot.

I am now trying to do a mass installation of a VOIP client (anyone
familiar with ININ?). Their directions (step-by-step) say to check the
"Install the application at logon" box. (Oh yeah, the "Assigned" radio
button is pushed as well.)

They claim that the next time a user logs in, the installer will run.
After waiting about an hour, I tried one machine. It didn't launch.
Likewise after a re-boot, it didn't install.

About an hour later, ditto on another machine.

Going back and looking at GPO settings, I'm not finding anything
obviously
different from their instructions. The network share and installer
files
give domain users read/execute rights.

What do I look at next?

Thanks!
