Actually let me restate that. Under the Action pack you lose the rights
to any software if you let it go, MSDN on the other hand you are able to
use products for which you received during the period which you were a
subscriber.

Sorry for the mislead, its been a long day.

Clint that is my understanding. Once you let a subscription lapse you
lose the rights to use it and any software obtained under that program.
I would concur with Michael and verify with Microsoft regarding the
older software and such.

Here is a good page, may be the same one you pulled your info from.

I have older products which no longer ship in MSDN. What licensing terms
apply to products I received in the past?
If you have been an MSDN subscriber for many years, you probably have
older products which no longer ship in MSDN. Older products follow the
licensing terms (from the End User License Agreement) that governed your
MSDN subscription at the time you received those products.

I would recommend you calling a licensing specialist.
Microsoft.com/licensing will give you telephone numbers for those in
your area.

Subject: msdn licensing

"MSDN subscriptions have a perpetual license, so subscribers can still
use the products received with their MSDN subscription after their
subscription has expired."

Am I correct to interpret this that if you are current with your msdn
subscription, you may continue to use older releases (e.g. Biztalk
2002)?

Is it correct to state that if we let our MSDN subscription expire, we
no longer have rights to that software as it was sold on a subscription
basis?

Thanks,

Klint
