There's also the new iPhone 3G.  I havent even bothered trying to pair  
it to a desktop (yet) since its built in Safari browser is practically  
desktop-grade, it renders every page just like a regular PC does.

On a side note, I have the old Asus eeepc 701, and failed miserably at  
all attempts tethering my old WinMo5 (TyTN) phone to its stock Xandros  
linux installation.  I've read it was possible, but all that mess of  
commandline scripts and crap, the only time I needed to do that was  
while on vacation, and it was new years at the hard rock hotel and,  
well, suffice it to say I was in no mental capacity to be dealing with  
scripts and the like :-)
