+1 on Directnic. Been using them for years.

 

Certs are so cheap you don't want to be stuck with that web hosting
company. What if you change web hosting vendors? It happened to us and
it got ugly to back out and go to another domain registrar.

GoDaddy is good. 

I had a ton of domains at DirectNIC in my old job and they did a great
job as well.

Our church domain is up for renewal.

Currently with Net Solutions but the web site is hosted by Lunarpages.

Lunar is offering free domain registration but obviously, net solutions
is advising us to keep the registration as they claim lunar isn't a
domain registrar.

Would saving 15 to 20$ per year be good thing to do or do you think we
should stick with net solutions for the registration and lunar pages for
the web hosting?
