Most of the client boxes have insufficient space for local PSTs since they're 
still running 20/40GB drives.  We've been forced to move them to the network.

I would leave the PST files on the users's local drives -- networked PSTs are 
NOT supported nor recommended by Microsoft.  I would implement some form of PST 
backup like this:
