You're talking about a parallel one? Where?

Looking for that. Only found ones suitable for printers.

Thanks

We have one we evaluated, but it did not work very well for what we needed it
to do. They said they would have a product that would work for us in about a
year though. We wanted to be able to switch from machine to machine for test
and production, but the darned thing will only support one virtual machine at a
time, though you can switch the machines by software, it still had to be
switched manually. One dongle, one virtual machine. We needed to have a
multiple license dongle plug into a single port and support multiple machines.

Thanks, have you seen anything similar that does Parallel? Still have some of
those in use for licensing also.

I don't use the USB product but I have the Serial over IP one and it rocks,
Over the past month We've virtualized a bunch of servers and modems with this
and it worked pretty well, It's based on the same real port tech as the USB one
so I'd be pretty confident with it. We tried a couple of other companies and
their products weren't great. We also have 2 Serial auth tokens connected to it
and it works well. Across VLAN'S and thru ACL lists

Anyone using this (or something similar) to support security dongles so they
can run the corresponding licensing software on a VM?
