I never installed all the Dell software that came with the card, maybe I
will try that. Using the function keys to disable the wireless does nothing
though. It's still disabled after the reboot but the delay is still there.
You must disable the card in the BIOS for it to log on in a reasonable
amount of time.

We ran into the same problem with our new ThinkPads.  Making the wireless
connection not available at logon fixed the issue for us.  On the ThinkPad,
it’s an option in Access Connections but I have to think that Dell has a
similar tool.
